WHAT WE DO

Unless U Admission

Unless U shall accept only young adults whose capabilities enable them to benefit from the program, and for those Unless U is staffed and equipped to provide care.

Basic qualifications include but may not be limited to the following:

1.  Must be 18 years of age or older, must have independent self-care and self-help skills, (i.e., toileting, eating, etc...)

2. Must be willing and able to follow simple verbal instructions.

3. Must be willing and able to participate in activities with minimal assistance from the staff and trained volunteers.

4. Students must get along well with peers. 

5. Unless U does NOT tolerate bullying or dangerous behavior.  Unless U shall not admit or maintain any young adult whose needs it cannot meet or whose behavior would be dangerous for other students in the program. 

6. There shall be no discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin or disability.

While Unless U does not have a specific age limit for enrollment, our program is generally best suited for adults under age 45. Unless U operates within a structured school model that includes classroom learning, scheduled electives, vocational training, and social activities. We have found that individuals who have been away from a traditional classroom environment for more than a decade may prefer a less structured program model. However, we recognize that every individual is different, so each applicant is through fully considered based on their interests, needs, goals, and overall fit with our program.
